Re-Engaging

Restarting blogging when no one reads blogs anymore

Why I'm Writing

Things seem to be moving faster and faster. Lately, with some of the new tools available it feels like I can create something with minimal effort that could provide real value. But then, the problem becomes "me". I can't keep up with all the things I'm doing, all the projects I started.

With that in mind, I leaned heavily into self-documentation. I've dusted off my Obsidian vault. I started trying to capture more of my daily work, documenting how I accomplished things along the way.

It reminded me how valuable writing can be. The act of slowing down my mind enough to organize thoughts helps re-enforce the ideas that were rushing past me as I jumped from one task to the next.

But Blogging?

It feels like nobody reads blogs much these days. And with AI generated answers on google and chatgpt, it feels hopeless to think someone might actually click in and READ what you write.

But on the other hand, toiling away at my private notes isn't sharing with others. I hope it is a way to force myself to share what I've learned. At least one step toward contributing to an audience.

So I'm going to try again. Here's hoping I can make something valuable!

What Will Be Here?

I'm not sure, really! I love tools and toys, so I expect to write a lot about the shiny things I've been playing with. I also want to share personal insights and thoughts. I hope that trying to write for an audience, will bring more clarity.
